Rachel Kim
Hello! My name is Rachel Kim, and I am a current high schooler located in Bergen County, New Jersey. Growing up in New Jersey, my awareness of wildfires was mainly formed by media reports, as these events were rare in the East. Everything changed in 2023 when smoke from Canadian wildfires dramatically affected our skies and air quality, exposing me to the true impact of climate change on the long-range transport of smoke.
Ever since this face-to-face experience, I have been fixated on wildfires, climate change, and the effect that PM2.5 could have on our world as we know it today. I have also started extensive research on this idea along with creating Particulate Frontier, in which I am to predict PM2.5 levels nationwide especially considering wildfire scenarios.
Through this blog, I hope to document my progress and provide insights to readers who share this interest. Whether you already have plentiful knowledge in the world of batteries, or you clicked on this blog to learn something new, I would like to thank you for reading my articles. Let’s explore and learn together!
